Long, tufted or tangled metal chips — such as those typically produced during turning or milling — can significantly disrupt transportation and processing processes. Our swarf crushers reliably shred these chips into manageable pieces and thus create the basis for smooth storage, conveying and further processing.

Optimizing chip processing

In automated manufacturing processes, chip breakers are an essential part of chip processing. They shred the chip material to a process-appropriate level and thus create the conditions for downstream steps such as coolant recovery, de-oiling or further processing in the recycling process.

Automation

Automatable sub-steps

Processes such as washing, rinsing or conveying can be seamlessly automated around the swarf crusher — for example by using modern robotic technology. This creates a consistent, efficient workflow with a high level of process reliability and minimal manual effort.

Scraper conveyors and lifting/tilting devices

Our scraper conveyors reliably transport metal chips from machines or collection points to downstream components such as chip crushers or centrifuges. In addition, lifting and tipping devices from our partners ensure the safe transfer of chips from collection containers — for a smooth flow of material in chip processing.

Transporting chips in drums with gantry trolleys

Our portal trolleys automatically transport the drums with chips to the chip breaker and reliably unload them there. This makes the material flow efficient and reduces manual handling to a minimum.

Optimized container filling with portal trolleys

The portal chassis carries out automatic filling via an integrated conveyor system and ensures a uniform, optimally distributed unloading of the material into the intended container. This enables an efficient and process-reliable process without manual intervention.
