Editorial
Dear reader,
Welcome to our newsletter which we issue several times a year. We would like to introduce you to the world of Gebr. Steimel and those people who are part of it. We want to explain our products and procedures and at the same time, inform you of innovations and changes. The most important aspect for me however, is to convey the feeling of enthusiasm and pleasure that we sense here at Steimel while we are at work. I hope you enjoy reading this newsletter. Steimel Company Video
In spring 2012 we spent 1 1/2 weeks on making a film about Steimel and our products. We succeeded in presenting all customer and product-relevant departments. Despite the fact that the pump and centrifuge product ranges are independent of each other, we were able to provide you with a comprehensive and entertaining insight into our factory. NEW: The Steimel Website
We have also given a new appearance to our web pages. It was time to make a facelift and improve details of handling . During the course of extensive reworking of the website, we reduced the language options to just German and English. This enables us to simplify maintenance of the pages and react to changes faster and more flexibly. The website has been online since 13.12.2012. Go to our new website. |

Image Brochure
In conjunction with our image film, we have also produced our new image brochure. This is a brief and concise introduction to ourselves and our company philosophy spread over 16 pages. Since the middle of 2012 we have been reworking the content of our leaflets and have successively implemented our new corporate design into our external presentation – this now includes the image brochure.

prosweets 2013 trade fair / Cologne
Gebr. Steimel continues with its successful exhibitions during previous years at the prosweets trade fair and will now be present again at prosweets in Cologne from 27th – 31st January 2013. On a floor area of 48 m², we will be presenting a live show of the SCHOKO-POLAR centrifuge during treatment of REWORK i.e separation of solid ingredients such as biscuits, nuts, pastry, raisins etc. from chocolate masses. We will also be exhibiting products from our pump program for the chocolate and confectionary-processing industry. You will find us in hall 10.1, aisle H, booth 021. Go to the fair calendar. |

Did you know,...
that the centrifugal force in a centrifuge drum with a diameter of 600 mm, rotating at a speed of 980 rpm is 320 times greater than the weight of a mass within the centrifuge drum? An unbalanced mass of 1 kg causes a circumferential imbalanced force of 3156 N (approx. 322 kp). Fluids or swarf spinning out of the drum reach a speed of 110 km/h. |
